LOCK HAVEN – This Saturday, the Frank Wicher Band brings the outlaw country to the floating stage, starting at 6.30 p.m.

Despite being from Germany, Frank Wicher is as American as an apple pie and as pure an outlaw country as it gets. Growing up in southern Michigan, Frank launched a regionally successful musical career in the Honky-Tonks Savages from Toledo to Detroit to central Pennsylvania. Frank’s songwriting comes from the heart of a man who lived life to the limit and survived to sing about it.

He has a philosophical vision of life which he presents in his songs that are bursting, catchy and tinged with outlaws. Frank is blessed with the quintessential outlaw country voice and has a weird way of delivering that less-is-plus sound that defines great outlaw country singers.

As gifted on the guitar as he is on the harmonica, he demonstrates astonishing discipline in staying true to these simple roots.

Her stage presence is down-to-earth and humorous, which gives her a rapport with audiences that only seasoned and authentic performers can reach. Frank has opened up to artists such as David Allen Coe, Sawyer Brown, Montgomery Gentry, 38 Special, and has also performed at such notable venues in central Pennsylvania as the Bloomsburg Fair, Knoebles Amusement Resort and many more. local fairs and festivals.

He recently performed in Nashville on the Ancient Archeology stage featured on the History Channel’s popular American Pickers TV show, and at Bobby’s Idle Hour, the only live venue on Nashville’s legendary Music Row. Frank performs solo and with the Frank Wicher Band, which he formed in 2009. All songs are written and recorded by him.
