The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) taunted Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi about his Friday report mockery party governors in the South.

The party said Umahi was simply floating in some imaginary presidential interest.

Umahi reportedly stated that the governors elected on the PDP platform were not sincere with the southern governors’ resolution on zoning the region’s presidency in the upcoming general election.

He said some of the governors were looking for personal agendas and said they lacked unity of purpose.

Umahi defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in November 2020.

Jeering Umahi’s defection from the APC, the PDP said in a statement declaration signed on Saturday by his national secretary for publicity, Kola Ologbodiyan, that the governor was in a “one-chance bus with strange and deceptive co-travelers”.

The party said the governor was sitting on his term because he won his election on the PDP platform in the 2019 general election.

According to the party, Umahi left for his ambition and became confused about his leadership in the CPA.

“It is clear that Governor Umahi now floats politically and seeks to use an unwarranted attack on the governors elected on the PDP platform to actualize his desperation for public relevance.

“The PDP finds it very pathetic that having mortgaged his conscience, on his avowed love for the oppressive administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Umahi obviously deals with daily incidents of murder, wanton destruction of property, kidnappings and other acts of terrorism. is happening in Ebonyi State and the nation as a whole under the CPA.

“The PDP instructs Governor Umahi to show his claimed commitment to the Southeast by abandoning his personal ambition and mobilizing the courage to call on President Buhari for his division, his injustice, his incompetence, the plundering of the treasury and the insecurity which became the mark of its failure. administration, ”reads the party’s statement.

The PDP asserted that it was a due process and inclusiveness party, adding that it would collectively and peacefully decide on zoning at the appropriate time.

He advised Umahi to bring “his zoning rush program” to his APC.

The party also expressed the hope of defeating the APC in the next election.
